I’ve seen you before swirling energy, fiery power just waiting… waiting to unleash Be still, my Dear One, be patient, my Love Healing takes time before the next battle, before the next step All Travelers along the way must take their rest, their self-care, their breaks The dawn is nearly here, and as the sun warms the eastern hills and the breeze brings that fresh scent of aliveness, your strength will return Soon you will see just how much you needed recovery, rejuvenation, a moment to pause and integrate Soon you will see that you’ve missed nothing that momentum and power grew deep within while you waited Everything awaits you and is here for you Let yourself rest in faith Original Poem by Cynthia Botsko,
Inspired by “Recovery, 9 of Wands” from The Sacred Circle Tarot, by Anna Franklin & Paul Mason The power of the Undine sending me on waves of Light & Sound between the Worlds My riding companion my friend and guide I soar on the drum beat of your hooves across unknown lands O! Fiendish Nightmare your sweetness & power carry my Imagination along the underbelly of my Paths through darkened forests and mountains along hidden ravines and cavernous passes All three of you, Dear Powers, strong, loyal, and impeccable with directions quivering with passion and perceptions poised to travel where madness fled and where abundance thrives only because I have asked and you know the way and what to see and what to bring forth Original Poem by Cynthia Botsko,
Inspired by "Judgement" from The Healing Earth Tarot, by Jyoti & David McKie Walking in the woods, looking for those herbs to serve purpose from stews to tonics I can hear the sounds of Woodpecker above me I asked the Helping Spirits of the forest To show me the way to what I need Amongst the Shadows and the streams of golden sunlight, I must not fear and I must not react Awareness from one’s surroundings comes from within I attune to the stillness… whoa! Not too deep to forget what realm I walk I rise back from the abysmal depths of within-Void I hear Woodpecker again I hear the river west of me I feel warmer breezes winding between trees from the east Attention is deliberate focus, but must be held lightly, fluidly There is more of me than my Mind at work here And there is more information coming to me than I could consciously focus upon at once It is to trust the Light deep within – it’s my battery pack – connected to Energy and Form And here I am, the empowered receiver Woodpecker has moved to the distance, I hear him a tap-tap then a calling… I distracted myself pondering connections but move swiftly now in trust I hear him tapping – O! Dear Woodpecker, you’re a brilliant balm to my Mind and Heart I feel your wisdom and attention roll through me And there beneath his tree in the mossy tangled roots and tufts of hummus I find a prize No preparation necessary It Is the preparation We’d reached the edge of the wood at the base of the mountains Before me is a path One last calling and tap-tap as my Woodpecker companion goes off on another adventure of his own He will be back tomorrow, to guide me through the forest again But, for now, I approach the labyrinthian caverns all on my own It’s calling, calling… I’m walking into the depths of my own being guided by the Ancestors and Ancient Ones in my own Blood supported and Nurtured by the Elementals within my own Spirit-Mind-Body system This is the Labyrinth of my own Self, the coiling & spiraling form of Initiation Original Poem by Cynthia Botsko,

calls her name from the Shadow’s mouth a stolen flame that blazes the night like the Sun at noon but the Wheel’s turn is never so soon Still not ever late the warning came of the twins agate The prophetess spoke her riddles & rhymes and all makes sense in its own sweet time Once so full
of something I felt but as the tide follows Her so moves the waves I can search the stars for all I find but only at dawn will I finally see The Light spills across the horizon and stretches beyond my mind swallowing the glimmer of the old navigator’s map The blackness of the sea turns to shades of blue-green and the sand glows like the sun rising from the mist Each day a new beginning each night a new adventure between the birthing dawn and the dying dusk Never anything like the cleansing breath of ocean-air in your lungs A bird sings because it is a bird and can be no different than what he is caged or not So too your soul embodied or not can be nothing other than who it is and as you awaken to the feeling of knowing your own self so shall you be burned by the inspiration within you to step into the freedom of who you are now Child, close your eyes and let your soul guide you don’t look down don’t look up don’t look to others for a hint of comparison or advice if you’re focus you will hear others’ wisdom on the winds Child, follow yourself home to your self clarity is authentic expression of the integrity of your soul authenticity is expressing your soul for no other reason than it is who you are integrity is allowing yourself the freedom to be be your soul incarnate be your soul disincarnate be your soul reincarnate be your Self Let your Soul sing Let your Body move Let your Mind awaken Inspired by “Eight of Crystals” from The Healing Earth Taro Original Poem by Cynthia Botsko,

in the wide unknown on this path reaping what’s sown like the August sun warming your back walking the distance of an eastbound track Always nice to see a familiar face when the wind’s cold as ice in this desolate place Cups of clover, an all-heal remedy the ancient Grandmothers taught me whispering in the night at dawn in the sweet afternoon breeze at dusk Easy to find easy to wildcraft easy to steep easy to store easy to use up All about the ease... That’s what they’ve been saying this whole time! The more you flow gather, hold, release, and keep flowing What a lovely dance The wild satisfaction the deep fulfillment of simply being at ease in an ever-present awareness I know the gurus talk of the sound of the Universe that hum, that enchanting Om, that harmonious intonation of the Word on the Breath of Divine Lips But, sometimes, like my Ancient Grandmothers before me, I can lay on spring grass in sunlight dappled shade and close my eyes... and I hear the Universal sound as the River Flow... a symphony of every vibration gathering, dancing, releasing, flowing, ebbing, swirling, holding, rippling, calming, flowing, gathering, dancing, releasing, ebbing, swirling, flowing, calming, rippling, holding, flowing Original Poetry by Cynthia Botsko,
Inspired by “Stability, 9 of Cups” from The Sacred Circle Tarot, by Anna Franklin & Paul Mason So many recipes for creation and destruction that we forget what purpose we have in mind/ I was always instructed that one should follow the recipe according to what’s written the first time/ and then change it as you go/ true some things improve with experience & experiments/ but there's no better time to begin the practice than to dive in right now/ So I substitute as I see fit and mix and blend and omit/ and soon I’ve crafted a book of my own revelations, a book of recipes and experiments of my own distractions and ones of my own creations grown beyond the confines of what I’ve learned and courageously, still with reason and knowledge, a compilation of records from my Alchemist’s Tower to the Basement and underground caverns/ Delightfully wield authority – rather, sovereignty - over your own life even as aware of All Life that you Are Original by Cynthia Botsko,
